Koi Carp and tadpoles having a Whale of a time!

The decision to have a superb small lake feature at Abbots Green has already paid wildlife dividends as the Carp population have not only grown in size, but also in numbers.  From the original 'magnificent seven' that were introduced 41 have recently been counted!  It's not just the fish that have been prolific, we have also been greeted by numerous large tadpoles as well!

Co-director Phil Brierley said, 'it's great to see the pond habitat developing so well, there have also been moorhens ducks and other wildlife attracted to the pond which really adds to the fantastic natural setting and shows that we are able to provide a natural habitat for indigenous wildlife on the park'.
